Literacy Circles

This Blog has been setup to facilitate discussions on the book you are reading in your Literacy Circle. Each student must make their initial post by Wednesday, and write a comment on 2 other student's posts by Thursday. The group face-to-face discussion will be held Friday afternoon and will be based around the posts made on this blog.

Ranger's Apprentice Summary

     "The Ranger's Apprentice Book 1: The Ruins of Gorlan" is a fiction book by John Flanagan about a boy named Will that is picked to be an apprentice to a Ranger. He has to learn the arts of being a Ranger. He practices shooting targets with a bow and arrow. He also receives other weapons such as a knife and throwing knife. Will gets a horse named Tug for transportation. At the end, Will is given the opportunity to become a knight but declines it. Halt tells Will about a story of when Will's father saved him. "The Ranger's Apprentice" is a great fiction book.
